As I’ve been editing photos for both my recent trip and other random occasions I always gravitate towards pixlr express which has the added bonus of not only being an app but also available on your computer via a website. It’s a super easy way to create collages, add cute text, overlays, frames and instagram style filters to your photos. It’s simple to use, free and hasn’t failed me yet, I’ve tried other photo editing apps but I always come back to pixlr. Make sure to check it out and let me know what you think.
Incidentally this is my 100th post a cute mini milestone and in light of this here are some ‘fun facts’ about the number 100!! Because you never know, these might come in useful for your next pub quiz!
- An ant can lift 100 times its own weight.
- A “jiffy” is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.
- A sneeze travels out your mouth at over 100 m.p.h.
- Sleeping Beauty slept 100 years.
It’s nearly 2 months since I departed on my first Disney World trip and the Disney magic has certainly not abated since I’ve been home and one thing that has stuck in my mind in addition to all my wonderful memories is the Capturing Magic podcast. This is a great show that focuses on different ways in which to capture and share magical disney moments and non-disney moments alike. I’ve edited my pics and videos but I’ve yet to create them into something great and this show is a great tool to use for ideas, tips as well as their blog.
I’m a big fan of podcasts anyway but I usually grow tired but there are so many mini themes within the show from Minnie’s to Pinning to hour long shows that there’s enough to keep me listening and looking forward to the next episode. Now back from Disney I can’t wait to go again but in the meantime this is a great way to keep a little more Disney in my life…which is never a bad thing.
In other news my thoughts go out to those in Oklahoma affected by the recent tornado, I stumbled upon this amazingly heartwarming video that has been trending in the last few hours, make sure you check it out.
I wasn’t quite as infatuated with this Lagerfeld short as I wanted to be. I loved Keira as Coco and I loved the simplicity and the telling of the story in an ever so slightly too quiet and awkward way. I do think if it has continued the way it had started…in French…then it would have so much more chic and authentic. It’s certainly made me want to pull out my Chanel Collections & Creations book again and have a flick through.
This came out little over 10 days ago and I’ve kept forgetting to actually watch it, if, like me you haven’t seen it yet then lancez un regard (my french is a little rusty – but you catch my drift) and let me know what you think.
Scrolling through my Pinterest boards I took the time to actually look back through some of my boards and came across this great drawing. There was most certainly a recurring theme on the one particular board, apparently I have a penchant for deer, who ever knew? Deer in mist, pencil drawn deer, deer fabric, you name it, I’ve probably pinned it! Anyway I thought I’d share it because it’s just fabulous and who doesn’t love a pencil drawing on a soggy day?
The drawing is by Tim Laing, you’ll find more of his work by clicking on the above pic.
As a side note am I the only one who will spend hours on pinterest then never look back over their boards? I need to get in the habit of actually looking back. Also does anyone know how to organise their pins on mass, one by one is so very tedious.
