Before I start this I have 2 things to say; Firstly If you hate Apple, click away cos I’m going into serious fan girl territory and Secondly (if you’re still reading) these are CONCEPTS, keep your excitement level to about 200%.
The Agency SD drafted up an Apple world, 7 everyday objects with an iOS7 makeover, where everything is beautiful and straight forward to operate and…. I’ll stop there before I hyperventilate. Below are my 2 favourites.
Oh, nope, I think the blinds just sent me over the edge. Check out the full post here on their blog.
Now even if you’re not a fan of Made in Chelsea you can’t deny that Millie Mackintosh has style. I personally love the show and her, she has amazing style, great makeup, great hair… I feel a girl crush coming on. Her website has a look book section which is one of my favourite things to click on each day. Below are 3 of my favourite looks from over the past few months and with Monsoon’s latest edition of those 2 beautiful jacket I’m getting inspired to channel my inner Millie by getting one.
Which is your favourite look?
Now I like a good map, but there’s something even better about infographic maps and this new one from Thrillest is awesome. I’d love someone to do one for the UK, that would be really interesting. In light of my recently travels round many many states in the USA and noticing how fast food varied from state to state, it was great to look at this in retrospect and embarrassingly use is as a tick list!

Asides from my obviously love of Starbucks, I’ll raise my hand to guiltily admit my favourite is Denny’s (forgive me I’m foreign – I don’t know the stereotypes that statement encompasses!) followed by a good dollop of Cold Stone oh or Ben&Jerry’s oooh don’t make me choose.
As I re-enter the foray of finding a job, this time full time and long term I know how difficult it is to set yourself apart from the rest of the candidates who say they’re ‘motivated, hard working, loyal, blah blah blah’. How can you prove that you actually are motivated when everyone uses the same word, but maybe with a different idea of what that means. However, I’m not about to get into a long post about the current job market for new graduates…eeek. You might be able to tell it’s a touchy subject!! Anyway, I found this great video on how to set yourself apart from others and bag a great job! There’s no other word to describe this guy but LEDGE!
I have recently been travelling around the USA and there are a number of things I had to become a pro at and that was namely packing. In 6 weeks I went on a total of 5 flights and this post is dedicated to what I like to pack in my hand luggage. This trip also opened my eyes to how much people want to bring as hand luggage, HUGE suitcases that on an entire flight they don’t touch…put it in your main luggage people and actually leave some space in the over head bins for my tiny backpack. Ok rant over, below are my essentials!
- my darling iPad 1 – filled with music, films, podcasts and books – space and weight saving
- a pen, or rather several pens just in case you lose one – important for all those documents you need to fill out and sudoku!
- hand sanitiser
- snack – my favourites were clif bars, as they filled me up and tasted delicious
- travel pillow
- over ear headphones – to cancel out some of the plane noise
- pashmina – to double as a blanket
- cath kidston travel document holder – all my stuff in one place and easy to see in my bag
- aztec fabric backpack – looking a bit sorry for itself now!
And that’s all, I never felt like I wanted more and it meant I didn’t have back ache from carrying so much 🙂 Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what you like to bring with you on your plane trips.
I stumbled across this song via the latest Rimmel London advert and fell in love with it, it’s English Rose by the band Sonik Seeds, check it out below and be sure to let me know what you think. I’m on a discovering new music binge lately so I’d love any suggestions as Pandora Radio doesn’t work over here anymore, boo hoo.
edit: the link seems to have gone missing on SoundCloud, so click HERE for a clip of the song on the Rimmel advert
I’ve been hearing things about this trailer and I finally remembered to watch it and oh my goodness I laughed SO MUCH, who knew you could make 1.5 mins so funny. Now I’m so excited to see more trailers and eventually for this film to come out. The trailer doesn’t really tell you much about the plot of the movie but hey, it looks great already and I definitely think Sven the reindeer is going to be my favourite….! Are there any movie’s you are excited to see this coming Autumn/Winter?
